Even as the company launched its new flagship Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro in China on Thursday, it has confirmed that the two phones will soon be arriving in global markets, including in India. While there is no launch date yet available for the global announcement of the Find X8 series phones, rumours suggest that these two phones will be made official for global markets around the middle of November.
Apart from packing the top hardware, including the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, the new Find X8 series comes with Hasselblad Master camera system. The new devices will run on ColorOS 15 and will have a battery that supports 100W fast charging.
Confirming the upcoming global launch, Pete Lau, SVP and Chief Product Officer at OPPO said, “The Find X8 series sets a new standard for smartphone excellence, combining our superior Hasselblad Master Camera System with next-generation performance, battery technology, and a leap forward for OPPO AI as part of ColorOS 15. The Find X8 is incredibly thin and light and Find X8 Pro is a camera flagship pushing industry limits with its incredible zoom.”
Apart from the processor, camera system, and operating system, Oppo has so far kept under wraps the details of the global variants of the phones. Although they are expected to be similar to the China variants.
The X8 series is expected to feature a dual-periscope telephoto lens supported by AI, allowing users to capture distant landscapes and detailed portrait shots. This camera system, along with a 50-megapixel Sony LY-800 main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and telephoto capabilities, will likely position the new Oppo flagship as a photography-focused flagship, much like its predecessor, the Find X7 series.
Speculation around the Pro model’s display suggests it features a 6.8-inch 2K 120Hz micro-curved AMOLED screen. Additionally, it is supposed to house a 5700mAh battery, with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, to offer users long battery and fast charging.
For the standard Find X8, Oppo is going to offer a 6.5-inch 1.5K 120Hz flat AMOLED display, a 50-megapixel main camera sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 3X telephoto lens. For battery, it will likely mirror its Pro sibling with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, supported by a 5600mAh battery. Looking at the rumours and the teasers from Oppo, the new Find X8 Series is going to come as a new premium Android smartphone for users seeking top-tier performance in photography, display quality, and charging efficiency. As and when the phones launch, we will have more to say about the Find X8 and the Find X8 Pro. So stay tuned.
