Symphony of Meaninglessness

What is meaning
scarce and sparse
Painful at places
Placeholder at best

For things are not
what they may seem
And each prick new
bleeds different, than one preceeds

And when the early child asks
What purpose it serves
Among this land, raw and pure
Say- ye corrupt and corrode

And leave to the second
The hole dug little deep(er)
To make shallow graves
Plant dying trees
